This week is a jeans week, thanks to worker’s appreciation month at work. I think it’s quite depressing that I get so excited about being able to wear jeans everyday. This is what amounts to a privilege in my life nowadays.
Speaking of work, there have been some major shakeups in structure, what I’m responsible for doing, and my workload, which is why I haven’t been writing very much lately. I’ve been waiting for things to balance out.
Saturday night, I made turkey legs and noodles with cornbread on the side for dinner. It turned out really well, even though I had to modify the recipe. I have a few other recipes that I would like to try, but we will see when I have the opportunity to try them.
My student loans have restarted and this is the first month I will have one due. It’s going to be tight trying to add it into my bills this first month, but we’ll see how everything goes once I’ve officially got it into the rotation.
Writing has become a bit of editing/rewriting. I am starting to define more of the images/scenes I want to present to show certain things instead of just saying it. I am working on the introuction at the moment. I think I can fix a chapter or two for possible submission/publication in a magazine and get some exposure for it, but I’m not sure how that will effect future publication and deals? Help!
I haven’t been spending as much time with my writing as I was a couple of weeks ago, and the graphic designer I have working on the logo design went on a cruise, so that’s at a standstill right now as well. It feels like I haven’t been moving forward as fast as I was at the beginning of the month, but any forward progression is progress, right?
Here’s to the start of a new work week; may it be more productive and more beneficial to making the dream a reality than last week.
